413 JDMCC meet

Me and Eric AKA LowNslow are arranging a local 413 JDMCC meet most likely to be held in forest park... we want to have a BBQ and music and just hang out and get to know each other much better and put some faces to some names for those we have not met yet... there is no scheduled date pr anything yet we just want to see who would want to attend first and get a best set date... those who have said they will attend so far are

heres some directions i got from the parks zoo's website but the zoo is inside the park...






From Hartford and points south:
From Rt. I-91North, take exit 2 in Massachusetts (several miles from the state line). Continue up the hill and the road curves to the left. Take a right at the traffic light onto Sumner Ave. Forest Park is on the right.

From Boston/Worcester, and points east:
Take the Mass. Pike (Rt. I-90) West to Rt. 291 in Chicopee. Follow Rt. 291 to Rt. I-91South in Springfield. Take exit 4 (Sumner Av to Rt. 83,). Take a left, under the highway. After the first traffic light, turn right, up Longhill Street. At the traffic light go left on Sumner Ave. Forest Park is on the right.

From the Berkshires and points west:
Take the Mass. Pike (Rt. I-90) East to Rt. 91South in Holyoke. Take exit 4 (Sumner Av to Rt. 83) Take a left, under the highway, go right, up Longhill Street, then go left on Sumner Ave. Forest Park is on the right.

From Greenfield and points north:
Take Rt. I-91South to Springfield. Take exit 4 (Sumner Av to Rt. 83. Take a left, under the highway, go right, up Longhill Street, then go left on Sumner Ave. Forest Park is on the right

I definitely would love for this to work out because i only know a few guys on here personally and would be much better to have jdmcc be a group of friends meeting up rather than just usernames on the internet. This at this point is a feeler to see who would be interested so we can move it forward and firm up some plans for it especially with nothing but nicer weather coming up.

Depending on the date/my work schedule I'm down...That is if the sol is operational at that point, since it's going under the knife again.

well good news then berg... we have a date that we would like to try and set me and eric and lionel agreed sunday the 30th of this month would be good... how does this sound to everybody else? we were also discussing that maybe we should have this a monthly meet...

so guys instead of the 30th we would like to hold it on june 6th... if this is ok with everybody then this is a set date... and we would like for everybody to bring something so we can do a lil bbq... for the least we can just have burgers and sodas... but if ppl would like bring some chips and other misc stuff... lmk what you will bring.... o and also if sombody has somethin we can play some tunes on that would be nice too...

well I'll be heading out there from the cape and possibly bringing another del sol from Avon...so if distance is the issue ya got no excuses lol!

well everything is accounted for except for charcoal and condiments... ill take care of the hot dogs and burgers...

@last resort... im happy to see u are rolling down i moved the date to this weekend for u lol...

im really excited for the meet and to meet everybody... everybody is welcome to bring friends and family... i just hope we have enough food... but it will be limited...

And lgnfnst..guy from Brockton, If the kid from Avon does indeed roll up with me We're meeting at the Rest area in Bridgewater on Rt. 24-N at 10am sharp, in case you wanted to join our drive out to the other side of the state lol.

I have work over the weekend (lame excuse lol), and my cousin has his wedding planning this weekend and it happens to be his birthday too, and have a calculus exam this monday and i can't afford another bad grade =[ (still haven't studied for it)

distance is not an issue, and the other reasons sound like excuses too, but my time is the issue. i can make it over no problem, but its making it back on time for anything thats the problem. ill let you know if i end up finding a way to go =]

So unfortunately the forecast is predicting heavy rain & T-storms all day so it doesn't look like I'll be heading out that way due to the weather.

ok guys so as you all know the meet didnt happen there was alot of rain today... i will be setting a rain date this week just gotta figure out when the best day would be again... so is everybody pretty much free on sundays?
