I installed my AEBS intake manifold, ITR throttle body, and Hondata IMG on friday. Had to modify a couple of things. I'll probably hit the dyno up soon to check my #'s and a/f ratio. The butt dyno feels better low end torque and higher hp on top. :TU:

08-01-2006, 06:55 PM
Got back from leave on Sunday and today I decided to take my car to the dyno since I put my AEBS intake manifold, ITR Throttle body bored to 65mm, and Hondata IMG. It made 163.32 whp and 119.47 ft lbs tq. It was 88 degrees and the humidity was at 46%. And I only had like 10mins to let my car cool down when I got there. Last time when I dyno'd without the manifold and throttle body I got 160.25 whp and 122.86 ft lbs tq and the temperature was 64 degrees and the humidity was 26%. I am thinking if I had the same conditions as I did last time I probably would have been around 167-170ish whp. I noticed a little better pullage with the addition of the manifold and throttle body. Also I pulled on an EG with a B16 with i/h/e. Oh yea. Today I purchased a Rage race header. That's all for now. Hopefully the header comes in friday if so I'll go to the track and post up some numbers.
Edit: I also ordered an EM Racing rear strut brace

Well I installed my Rage tri-y header and my EM Racing rear strut bar the other day. Yesterday I had to get a custom test pipe made since the header is longer than the JDM 4-1 DC one. Also did a photoshoot in downtown Austin this past tuesday with a good friend and fellow EM1 owner. Stay tuned for pics. They will probably be up the beginning of next week. Since my friend took the pics with his SLR.
Mr.EM1

Mr.EM1
08-14-2006, 11:17 AM
so im assuming the "Type R" header is the one that is shorter?...
Yes sir. The Rage header is about I'd say around 5 to 7 in longer than the DC. Also the primaries are larger. I really need to re-tune my setup. But I am leaving soon so I will wait to do it with the new setup.
Mr.EM1
08-15-2006, 04:09 AM
Here is another comparison to the 2 different exhaust manifolds. Rage/Whitfield Racing Tri-Y on the left vs JDM DC Sports 4-1 w/2.5in collector
mindgam35_civic
08-17-2006, 01:23 AM
i love your car... i really do. its a shame ive never seen you around town...
so why did you decide to get rid of the DC header? something wrong with it?
Mr.EM1
08-17-2006, 01:27 AM
moving on to a much better header. since i am swapping out the 1.6 for a stroked 1.8l to 2.0l
mindgam35_civic
08-17-2006, 01:35 AM
so even with the b16 you would suggest a 4-2-1 header over a 4-1...
and with a pretty much stock setup the dc 4-2-1 ceramic header is ok right?

Mr.MAN
11-17-2006, 05:20 PM
awesome dude, rocket cams are sold at one of my shops, are they the goods?
Mr.EM1
11-17-2006, 05:44 PM
From what I have read about them they are awesome. Bang for the buck. Works great for high compression motors. The BC4 and the Jun3 have the same identical vtec lobe, but the BC4 has larger primaries. It might make more midrange than the Jun3, and will also idle rougher. The M22x is a bit larger than both of the cams mentioned above and has a near-stock idle.

theres the rocket cam m22 setup, would the springs and retainers be good?
Mr.EM1
11-17-2006, 08:17 PM
Im sure it would. They make it to work with the cams. I don't need the whole package. So I just ordered the cams themselves. I already got hondata. I'll end up getting new ngk plugs anyway. I heard good things about supertech so went with that valvetrain. Not saying the one supplied is bad. I just have my preferences.

what i meant as in a broken set is when someone selling the wheels individually. A couple of months ago i saw a guy with 5 Mugen MF10L's. I just want to have one to use as a spare. Doesn't have to be new. Just in good condition with no curbs with the decals.

06-12-2007, 01:51 PM
The Recaro's are used of course. Minty. It's hard to find a clean set and even harder to find a practically new pair. black with red stitched that is. I hope i can get close to about 220 to 230whp without itb's. Anyone ever run an import builders ported ITR manifold or know anyone who has?

It took me a while to find these Recaro's I wanted to get the set Ken-E had for sale cause they were perfect. I missed it so when these popped up I had to get them. Just wait and you'll find a set come up sooner or later. Just check h-t marketplace or nwp4life's classified section. I am a 63B. Lightwheel vehicle mechanic.

nice. i wanted to get a sleeved block and go 2.0 but at the time i found the bare block for a good price. what turbo are you going with? my roomie with another black EM1 is going boost and plans on running a GT30R.

yeah mines a 2.0 liter also. but im still only running a t3/t4 60 trim turbo. no money for gt series =(. but yeah the 2.0 liter displacement really helps it spool. full boost at about 4500. me and my boys are gonna be down in LA for the NISEI show in mid august.

boost is nice but i would not like to have a boosted daily. i'll probably end up getting a fit as a daily and throwing the MF10L's on it. Then later on i'll get a project and boost it till it blows. haha

boost is fun, just get an oversized turbo. get the power and the mileage just not the response =P gotta sacrifice something!... i got a fit s daily myself just keeping it stock and daily.
