I was putting a new temp in to my a piller, and I ran the wires to the back of my stock one. It didn't work so I unhook the new one, and now my stock reads hot, over heating hot. Real hot, but my car is not over heating. I check all the fuse and they were good. I have no clue what it can be?

first of all what temp gauge is it? second when you do wiring make sure you know which wire to leech of of or you need to go directly to the source for power. That is why they give u relays and fuses so you can go diretly to the source of power without splicing and damaging something in the underdash fuse from over amperage.
