Update to JDM Coupe Council

It is with a sad heart that I send this out! On 09 September 2011 www.jdmcoupecouncil.com will cease to exsist. I don't have the money to renew the web hosting so it will expire. I would like to thank everyone who has used the site to the very end. I would like to thank everyone who has been here and supported the site for as long as it was around. I know that people change and things arise in our lives, but a few of you have stayed with me and the site and I am sorry for letting this end like this for those few. All of this is beyond me, but I have a brother in law that works for Microsoft in Seattle and I'm sure he could do it. It's just a matter of him having enough time.

If anyone knows anything much about them there computer things they could see about making sense of this here hyperlink thingy.

Do you know of a free web server? I know phpbb3 is open source so there is no cost there but I still think the problem exists with finding a web host. I'm not aware of any free ones. How is the site currently hosted?

If we were able to find a free web host to run phpbb3, I'd be willing to work with someone on transitioning to phpbb3, but my experience with bulletin board software is limited. I program computer code almost every day, so it's mostly just figuring out the ins and outs of the databases and stuff, but there may be someone more qualified on here so feel free to speak up.

So, I haven't been around for like nine months. I got too busy to handle more than one forum, but I checked in here to see what was good and was sent to this thread. I went ahead and donated a little, I hope it helps.

You have to be the owner of the site or have access to all site permissions to be able to transfer it over. Did you email my B.I.L.? He used to do web design on the side before he started working for Microsoft. He can get this done for us probably pretty quick.

I want to personally THANK, Foos, CTB16, 99civicB20v, and Mportedcivicsi... Thank you because of your donations I was able to get a New Host for the site and we will be hosted for 5 years! As said today to me by what I consider a good friend... JDMCC while slow, we are a tight knit group. Big doesn't mean better!

I am gonna be making changes to the Moderating team on the site and I want to only have people who will be here to take car of the site and run it like it needs to be when i am not around!

I would like to see the site grow more and gain more traffic but keep it drama free and fun!

Hearing this site stop operating will suck. I can remember first finding this site and learning a whole heap from everyone. I will donate now and hope we can met the deadline. Dina you did a great job making sure the site stays up and no matter what I'm going to rock my JDMCC decal hard because we roll like a family no matter how far we are.

The new host didn't transfer the site I had to do it alone still some issue with the main page I need help if anyone knows php it will help out. But its up and running.
