Has anyone ever seen a optional audio console in Tan?

i saw one, it came out of a 4 door with tan interior and optional cd player from the dealer, they are really rare, and i haven't seen one in at least 2 years

I'll look around, but I've never seen one before in my life. The other rare one is that blue audio console that I know exists.

well since I work for honda I went to the parts department today and they said there are none in the states. I would have to locate a used one. Or I was thinking about buyin a black one and have it dyed in tan have you guys ever heard of this and is it something I can do Or would I have to pay someone for it?

dying it would be a pain in the ass, since it's starting at a dark color.. i'd see if you could find an OE tan one

The thing is that I have never seen one and the people who have seen it saw it like no less than 2 years ago I asked a guy on ebay that sells them and he said he cant get it in tan I asked at my job today and they cant get it, its been discontinued due to being an option and its more that 10 years old, so my only option would be to have it dyed or get it painted tan to match my up and coming interior.

HERES AN IDEA? we use a kinda arisol spray paint might be vynal? ill check for ya.. verry fast dry can get different shades. we use it to paint trim rings and etc... for video systems and other such stuff

i can order it and stock some.. p.m. me your full adress i can paint some card board and mail it out to you. like paint swatches... and see if anything is close.... and if you make a match?ill get ya a can.. k

you could paint it, if you use flexible bumper primer it tends to last longer, but there's a good chance it could chip over time. I'd say find somebody who does custom injection molding and make a cast of a black one and have a mold made in tan, but that could get expensive, unless maybe you could have a bunch made and corner the market on tan jdm audio consoles.

i talked to a rare part finder from ebay in Japan and he said it had only seen one on a jdm eg6 and hadn't seen one for 5 years, i guess they are really rare, and if one were to make its way on ebay that thing would sell HIGH!!

haha i'm not a thief, you gotta understand that i came from a town that had no import dealership, 3 civics, and 2 were mine...i'm curious to see them, mainly to see if it's a manual or not

Yes, the ashtray might look like it's missing in action.
Looking forward to seeing this in a car, as I have never liked the tan interior.
Have to see if this changes my mind or not. I love my black interior though.

does anyone know where the bracket that is pictured on the lower left goes?

the bracket should go on the top of the fram that is connect to your center consol with where the shift boot goes....there are four holes....2 to go into the fram and 2 to go right under the dash...i had to use self taping screws to keep it screwed into the underside of the dash

i couldn't use that top bracket thing, it wouldn't work...it looks like everything but the ashtray is there

Still rockin the stock tan interior, but I had planned to swap to black. I've seen some nice setups though using tan and like a charcoal looking color. Maybe I can dig it up.
